So I decided to make an official post about the batch release. Any interest in my OCR unedited ass subtitles?

Hi,
Thanks for doing Fairy Tail.
Only just started d/l to watch but find for my situation the subtitles are a bit difficult to read. From what I have tried the PGS subs can’t be adjusted in MPC to make them larger so would appreciate access to the OCR unedited ass subs to see if I can make them larger for my situation.
Cheers
You can get them here.
Yes please, I believe the font should be thicker, something along the lines of what HorribleSubs uses for their Crunchyroll rips.
Like I said on the DDL page they are unedited and you are free to change it as you wish. Or just use the features of a player like mpv which can change the font and size at runtime. 🙂
Is there a reason why it was encoded at 576p instead of 72op / 1080p?
It was a DVD upscale, but 480p was not something I like to encode to. Both 720p and 1080p in my opinion are a waste of space, you’re better off upscaling it via bilinear with any player.
Hi,
I just downloaded first few episodes and this is probably the best video encoding done! So good job.
Though I seem to be facing a problem. I’m using CCCP for playback but the subtitles don’t seem to show up.
I know it loads them because when switching between the available subs it gives a little hickup.
They show up when using VLC player though.
Any idea what is going on?
I’m certainly not new to this and this is the first time I have encountered this problem.
Any help is welcome 🙂 thanks in advance!
Sorry for the late reply, CCCP somehow disables PGS subs. But since I’m not too familiar with their settings I can’t guide you to fix that. I personally use K-Lite, but another option would be to get all the ASS files from the DDL page.
Thanks for posting the subs!
The subrip tool I tried to use just could not pick up the subs that also had the sound effects on screen at the same time.
So being able to use your subs was a lifesaver haha.
